UKRAINE TENNIS PROJECT
Introduction:
Over the years, Ukraine has produced a steady number of elite tennis players. Players such as former World Number 3 Elina Svitolina, French Open Finalist Andrei Medvedev, former World Number 13 Alexandr Dolgopolov and the Bondarenko sisters.
Tennis in Ukraine has been massively impacted by the ongoing war in the region. Tennis domestically has been almost impossible, with the majority of tennis facilities being destroyed. Some of the highest potential juniors in Europe have had to flee their country, and keeping up with their elite training has been a major challenge.
The Delgado & Lee Tennis Academy will now be working alongside The Ukraine Tennis Federation, to offer a select number of Ukrainian juniors the opportunity to train at a world class venue in the UK. With the help of our family of investors from around the world, we will be offering children from Ukraine an incredible opportunity to realise their dreams of a professional tennis career.
Over 100 applications were received from some of the best juniors in Ukraine, with 20 selected for a week-long trial at the academy in the UK. Players were invited to train at the academy, with the highest potential juniors selected for a 5-year package of financial support, which will include professional tennis and physical training, accommodation & full board onsite.
WE NOW NEED YOUR HELP
From January 2023, the first 4 players will be joining full time. We have secured enough funding for 2 full time players, and we have ambitions to increase the number of players we can train to the highest standard required to achieve their international goals. We aim to increase the number of juniors invited for the next generation of players to the UK to be included in the elite performance programme beyond the initial 4 juniors, and extra funding will help this.
We are proud to offer some of the best training facilities and coaches in the country, and your support will help us ensure our young Ukrainian tennis players continue to receive the best support during this vital stage of their careers. Our goals for the future include:

Your support will be essential in allowing us to invest in the careers of future tennis professionals. The first 4 players have been selected and will begin at the academy in January 2023. They will be competing internationally on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour and ITF World Junior Tour.
